For publishers, journalists and fan sites
SWOOP Embeds
Put the live SWOOP Index in your articles. Every widget shows the real, current figure, updates itself as reporting lands, and links to the full story. Free, with no sign-up.
Three formats
Pick the one that fits
- Compact
- One line that sits inside an article: player, club, the percentage, the 24-hour move and when it was updated.
- Transfer card
- A bigger card in the clubs’ colours, with the percentage, its movement and the stage the story is at.
- Club
- A club’s five most significant live stories, coming in and going out, for club pages and fan sites.
Live preview
Choose any transfer or club
A live SWOOP Index widget for your article or site. It updates itself, links back here, and is free to use. No sign-up, no cookies.
You can also embed from the Share menu on any transfer or club page, or the Embed button on a player’s page.
Adding one
Works wherever iframes do
- WordPress: add a Custom HTML block and paste the code.
- Ghost: add an HTML card and paste the code.
- Squarespace: add a Code block (set to HTML) and paste the code.
- Any other site: paste the code where you want the widget. It’s a standard iframe.
Choose Match reader to follow your reader’s light or dark setting, or fix it to light or dark to match your site.
The small print
How the widgets behave
- Always live, always real. Figures come straight from the SWOOP Index and refresh about once a minute. Nothing is illustrative.
- Stories end gracefully. When a transfer completes or falls through, the widget shows the outcome instead. If a story is removed, it says so and links to what’s live.
- Links stay working. Widgets use each transfer’s and club’s permanent ID.
- Light on your page. No cookies, no tracking of your readers, and no outside scripts. We count views and clicks by website only, to see where the Index is used.
- Keep the credit. The SWOOP mark and link must stay visible. Please don’t edit the figures or crop the widget.
